Questions & Answers
List of Common Questions
Below you will find a list of common questions I have recieved. Still have questions? Feel free to text or email me!
Where do you service?
I service most of New England! I can travel further if there is enough interest for specific horse shows.
Which shows are you attending?
Please go to the "Calendar" page and scroll through the months to see what shows I already have marked. All of those shows are the ones I'm currently planning on attending.
I don't see the show I'm attending on the Calendar?
Don't see your show on the Calendar? Feel free to reach out to see if it is a show I'm able to attend! Closer to New Hampshire, the higher possibility I will be able to make it happen!
How do you keep things sanitary?
Sanitation is my top concern at horse shows; and I take great measures to ensure there is as minimal cross contamination among horses from different barns. Please read the list below of the steps I take to keep everything sanitized.
Hoses - each barn/horse must provide their own hoses - I do not supply a hose. If a hose is not supplied, than I will lug the buckets/top them off with another bucket provided by the customer.
Pitch forks, brooms, shovels and wheelbarrows - they will be sanitized with a bleach disinfectant between each barn/horse. They will be sprayed/wiped down before I begin to clean another customers stall.
Scrub brushes - I recommend each customer has their own scrub brush, but I do have my own that I can supply. These brushes are rotated between customers because they must sit in a disinfecting combination of 3/4 cup of bleach and one gallon of water for five minutes after each use and then be thoroughly rinsed and dried before being ready to be used again.
Brushes - I recommend each customer supply their own grooming brushes, but I do have my own that I can supply when needed. These brushes are also rotated between customers because they must sit in a disinfecting combination of 3/4 cup of bleach and one gallon of water for five minutes after each use and then be thoroughly rinsed and dried before being ready to be used again.
What do you supply?
Below you will find a list of items that I supply. But if there is anything you would like for me to use that you already have, please let me know and I will be happy to oblige.
Pitchfork
Wheelbarrow
Broom
Shovel
Scrub Brush (I recommend customers to have their own)
Shampoos
Show Ring Prep (Hoof Polish, Face glow, Bands, etc.)
Grooming Brushes (I recommend customers to have their own)
What should I supply for you?
Below you will find two lists. One list is what you must provide, and the other is what I recommend you supply.
Must supply:
Shavings
Hay
Hay Net (if you use them)
Water Bucket(s)
Recommended supplies:
Scrub Brushes (for water buckets)
Grooming Brushes
Hose (I recommend a hose so I can fill the water buckets to as full as possible. Otherwise I will be carrying them and they will not be as full)
My horse is quirky, is that an issue?
I'm happy to work with customers who have quirky horses. But, I always have the right refuse service at any point (without a refund) if I deem the horse too dangerous to work with/around. I request all quirks that might interfere with my services, are revealed to me before hand. I'm happy to accommodate most situations (cleaning horse's stall while they are being worked/shown, on cross ties, etc.)
